About Janet

Hello! I consider it a privilege to offer hope and guidance to women going through confusing or painful circumstances. I have navigated through the loss of dreams, walked through dark times of grief, worked hard on healing, and learned to find my voice and set healthy boundaries. In the process of life and career transitions, I have experienced firsthand the importance of faith, friendship, and therapy. And while the pain of life has at times felt overwhelming and not how I expected my life to go, I am truly grateful for the transformation I have experienced. Each challenge has deepened my trust and intimacy with God, produced personal growth and increased my compassion for others.

While I have diverse experience, from providing career services to college students, to being a stay-at-home mom and homeschooling my two sons, to directing support and recovery groups in a church setting, my passion the last decade has been seeing women come alive again after facing the trauma of betrayal in their marriages. I am honored to offer other women support, validation, and strategies to process their life experiences so they can grow and mature emotionally and spiritually.

Testimonies

“I was an emotional wreck when I started counseling, full of anger and bitterness, and struggling with unhealthy patterns in my life. I was scared at first and wasn’t sure what to expect, but Janet was personable, and I felt calmer after my first appointment. I feel a lot more stable emotionally now and feel more confident making decisions. Coming to counseling feels like a retreat, a quiet and safe place to process, and it’s been helpful to be given resources so I can work on things throughout the week.”

“I had a lot of anxiety about relationships, especially with my husband, and was consumed by situations that would come up at work. Since being in counseling with Janet I have more stability in my life and have learned about trauma and sexuality. I have started eating healthier, advocating for myself at work, simplified my life, have improved sleep and healthier friendships. I enjoy having a place where I am able to tell the truth and have a healthy witness and know that I am okay.”

“Before counseling my life felt devastating, depressing, overwhelming, confusing and awful. I reached out to Janet because I didn’t know what to do and I hoped that she would know how to guide me. In counseling I have seen the deepest, darkest parts of myself, but also my areas of strength, and this has resulted in a deeper walk with God. It has been most helpful to be heard, seen, cared for, lovingly guided, encouraged, and to understand trauma.”
