I am a mother of 4 and a seeker of truth and beauty. God has brought me out of a cult, spiritual abuse, and a destructive marriage through the loving and compassionate care of a story coach. I felt completely lost, unable to articulate what I needed or even why I was hurting. As I received care for my hurting parts and was given language for the first time as to what was happening inside of me, I found out that I didn't need anyone to fix me!I just needed someone to walk alongside me slowing things down and giving language so I could see what happened inside me as a result of traumatic experiences.. I needed love and support to believe in myself and God then brought healing.

 

As someone with the lived experience of receiving narrative focused trauma care, I now offer trauma informed Story Coaching. I have the honor of walking with women through their own dark and tangly places. I call my work The Space Between the Words because so often, the real story lives in the in between: the unspoken rather than the spoken. I listen deeply for those quiet places and offer support, reflection, and care as healing unfolds.

 

I also co-lead story groups with the deeply kind Kate Petersen. Together, we offer a compassionate space for women to reconnect and explore their stories, and gently rebuild trust with themselves. Our work integrates nervous system education, story work, and community rooted in safety and connection.
