"you can't really know where you are going until you know where you have been."—Maya Angelou
We often don’t realize how much our past impacts our present way of living. Storywork Counseling explores events from our lives that have created the lens through which we see ourselves and others. By becoming more aware of how we got to where we are today, even when it’s painful, we will be transformed and learn to see ourselves in a more true light - as a priceless work of art.
Spiritual Counseling is designed to help us define and align with our values. By quietly listening and being still, we can learn to live our best life and be ourselves more fully. We can experience a life that is more peaceful, free, and connected.
Life coaching helps us examine where we have been, where we are, and where we want to go. By setting goals and identifying obstacles, we will have the opportunity to identify the path ahead, take our next steps, and live a more fulfilling life.
I’m passionate about people... and, “people" is you. I want you to know you belong. If you know me, you have likely heard me say, "even if you're a lump on the ground, I believe in your value and I believe that what you offer the world has meaning." To date, I’ve not met someone who is merely a lump on the ground!
Here’s the bottom line though—I can believe this about you until the cows come home, but if you don’t believe it about yourself, it will do you no good. For most of us, in order to get to the place where we truly believe in our value, it takes gobs and oodles of courage and integrity—and learning how to read the stories of our lives well. Most of us need accountability and good care to live in that wholehearted way. In other words, it doesn’t just happen. We must be intentional about it.
For so long, my story kept me stuck. I was fearful. I was insecure. However, because of the care offered me by a wise coach and a loving spiritual counselor, I live a life that is full and free. With their help, I discovered hope in what I thought would be despair, courage in the strangest of places, and that honesty and grief is the raw stuff of life that changes us for the better if we let it.
I want to help you live this life that I've found—one of FREEDOM and ABUNDANCE!
