About Carla

As a spiritual director it is my honor to join you on your spiritual pilgrimage. I am a compassionate listener who offers gentle care, coming alongside those asking tough questions about God, their personal faith, and life itself.

It has taken a lot of time, healing work,  and the love, safety and comfort of others to find, accept, like and believe in who I am.  While it is an ongoing process, when I step into the space that is me I have found purpose, joy and peace. It is my honor to join others as they take thier own walks into spaces like these. I strive to be a compassionate listener who offers gentle care to others. I believe our losses are worth honoring, our joys are worth celebrating, and all of our questions are worth asking and exploring with another in a safe space.

I have an abundance of experience participating and facilitating in workshops and spiritual retreats that invite Jesus to do His beautiful work of emotional healing and restoration.  All of these years of experiences and my personal ongoing learning and research in trauma and restorative work  have created in me a unique skill set that I bring to one on one spiritual direction and retreat and small group offerings.  Passing on what I feel I have graciously been given through my own journey  is hugely important to me.

Testimonies

"When I entered into Spiritual Direction with Carla, I did not have much experience sitting with this kind and gentle practice, so didn't know what to expect. I felt very welcomed and at ease in her presence.  The invitation to explore questions I didn't even know I had, let alone longed for clarity on surfaced in a genuine conversational way. To be held in this space of loving care and guidance with Carla is refreshment for my heart & soul."

"Meeting with Carla for spiritual direction was taking a walk with a gentle friend to a sacred place. She is patient,  attentive, and a good companion with whom to enter the Father's presence."
