When I offer myself the gift of stillness, when with it, I always try to remember or keep the memory of it. How it feels, how it smells, what it sounds like, what it looks like.
From here, it's natural. It is what it is supposed to feel and smell and sound and look like. And we get these few moments, and while in them, our souls remember their imprints because they call to the imprint of what was intended.
Often from here, the tears flow, the knowing part grieving and celebrating simultaneously. Seeing and knowing how far away we have to live from the fullness of Divine's intention for the world as a collected, connected whole. And also knowing we are connected to it.
From stillness, I search with my eyes and my senses, looking for a place of the beauty of what was first thought up. And I stop and hold my breath a little, hoping it's real and forever when I catch a glimpse or sense it. Experience tells me that here is when to prepare for the interruption, as it can't remain this way forever.
Sometimes it lingers, and I get to breathe it in longer. It's reminder that it is here and available to be found again, even if veiled and incomplete, still beautiful.

A Meditation on the Gift of Stillness
Close your eyes. Connect to your own space of stillness or whatever came to mind.
Breathe deeply and comfortably. Whatever you have connected to, breathe that into your lungs.
Bring that to your heart to hold.
Let it travel through your body, starting at your head all the way down to your feet. Once you're to your feet, let the warmth of it travel back up to the top of your head.
Bring it to your mind. Let your mind imprint it.
Let whatever parts of your body, your heart, your mind, your lungs, your hands, your feet whatever part needs to hold that do so. Spend a few minutes there.
